How has this come into my mind? It has some time ago, frankly, but I didn't ever find the time to put the idea into practice. In fact the 2009 has begun six months and half ago, but... sincerely, I don't care that much =D I mean, I wanted to do a list of the songs I've known during 2008, and maybe specify the ones that most of all have meant something to me, for different reasons. =)

What I hope is (other than nobody that's reading will fall asleep or things like that) that maybe someone will listen to one or more of these songs - for curiousity or whatever you want - and might find new emotions or anyway good things =)))... It'd be nice (to plunder with your eyes?... Err, no XD...)...! =)))

(I've just realized they're just about 280... okay XD)

The words in bold represent the songs or albums that most mean to me ^^...

Read the listCollapse )

** Note **
--> The majority of these songs are taken from another friend, who had a giant music collection, so that's why you might also find some genre that I usually don't listen to or appreciate (see eg Fabrizio De Andrè, Francesco Guccini, Oasis, Green Day, Korpiklaani & co., Marylin Manson, etc....).
--> Moreover, there are songs which shouldn't be in, and others that should be put in the list. That is: there are many songs which I have discovered again, and I mean that I already knew them and just put them in iTunes in 2008 (too many examples, but a short one is simply the soundtracks =D); as well as there are several songs that were already in my playlist but I didn't consider much, or had listened to but found nothing interesting in (the best example of these is: Edguy - Out Of Control... Thank you, Heather!!! XD). Of course there are also many titles that I still never get rid of.
--> The songs in the special category are chosen in a quite odd way... First I thought to put only the ones that have a particular and special meaning for me, that is very difficult to explain, but this would leave out many songs that are great in fact (an example? Arashi - Sakura Sake, Helloween - Gambling With The Devil, Mattafix - Living Darfur, Revolution Renaissance - I Did It My Way, which is really just a good song to me but nothing more) [and some are still out of the list, like The Ark - It Takes A Fool To Remain Sane...]. So I've put some more and I don't know what you would call the standards I've used =D =D =D...

It's like this list is my 2008 Hits =D =D =D, I think that'd be a proper name...! =D =)))

Thank you if you read till the end! I hope this entertained you at least! =)))

Lots of love,

I agree with everything, practically, but I can only say thanks for the compliments to the test's creator =D =D =D =)))...

You Are "alt"

Some people might find you to be strange, mysterious, and even a bit off putting.

You tend to be drawn to and influenced by alternative lifestyles. You're definitely not normal.

Once people get to know you, they realize you're interesting, intriguing, and very intelligent.

You have a lot of knowledge stored in that big brain of yours. Most of it is useless knowledge, but some of it is very useful.

  1. What was your favorite class/subject in school? Maths, perhaps, along with Physics - they have always fascinated me. But I also love Literature, and I mustn't forget Philosophy and History. Well... that's difficult =D
  2. Who was your favorite teacher? Probably the Philosophy teacher, but I can't forget: the teachers of Maths, English Literature and PE. All four are awesome ç_ç
  3. Why was your favorite teacher your favorite? Philosophy: he's just great, in his opinion, behaviour, everything T_T; Maths: she is very sweet and an awesome person, she's sarcastic and we have Mel Brooks in common =D =D =D; Enlish L.: she's one of the oldest but she's really cool, she's smart and rebellious!; P.E.: this man is God u_u =D He taught me many things... which is not only uncommon, but rare (here PE teachers don't usually care about anything). He's serious but very funny if you come to know him, and, though he is severe, he is professional and has got great opinions (favorable to many types of freedom). I love all of them T_T
  4. What would you have liked to major in in college? Or what will you major in if you go to college? That's a good question. My dream is Archaeology, but... well, there are lots of problems in between which I won't bore you talking about. Another very strong passion I have would lead me to Electronic Enginnering... so let's hope. 'Cause theoritacally you need to the have the maximum mark at the end of the school to enter...
  5. Would you rather go to a small, medium, or large college, if you had the money to go to any of the three? Don't kow, I should see and fully understand the differences =) For now, I'd say a medium college, because I don't like overcrowded nor too lonely schools either. =)

I like the rain; and I like the dark.

This day opened with a red, red sky in the early morning, and as soon as I noticed and gazed with a smile at it, I just thought it was strange. That was the first time it happened, lately I mean, like the sky of the same hour had chosen to change colour suddenly by twenty-four hours. So I thought I hadn't noticed yet that it had turned red from some time.

It has rained for two days, three days maybe, several ones straight. But the sky was dull, it has been grey and such for all the time, and I realized that I wasn't "happy" to have the rain, which is strange for me. About after noon, the room seemed quite more yellow than usual; my friends and I went up to the third floor, the last one, and so I stood for a moment. I was surprised, to see a breach of light, bright and yellow light, entering from the window. Yes, I'm more than probably easily amazed and whatever you want, but... that's how it went, I think... The view from there is much more and better. I went towards the window and looked. All was so shiny, and the tall buildings, so familiar to me in their profiles, were lit enormously from above.

What made me thought might be difficult to find. My heart, my soul - I don't know -, was kind of relieved by this sight, the contrast that I felt between my heavy and warm clothes and the scene I was seeing "in the out" was strange but at the same time left some deep and comfortable feelings behind; while a more springing and inspiring sensation is given to me by the rain, usually. That was like the first time I subconsciously enjoyed and was happy about the return of the sun. For now.

It felt like the dawn of a new day... I'm not being spiritualist but I tend to like to find certain reasons and meanings behind things, those which are not apparent, too. I must confess... this period is kind of hard. I must confess... I feel shattered inside, like a broken glass. But it would be too long and slightly out of place to tell now. I feel like everyone is suffering around me, and though the jokes and the laughs might replace silent moments for more than some second, trying to go on this way makes me feel worse than I would in the past, when I would have concentrated on the problem - that is, on what was bad, though I was unable to solve it. Hence seeing and feeling this new bright light gave me... - I'm afraid to say it - some new hopes. I didn't want to say all of this because I know the situation will go worse and sink, instead...! That light made me think that... yes, maybe things won't get better soon, now, in a few seconds, but chances are that they will. If we try to unite, to stay together... maybe we can make it, if we don't separate and lose each other, in spite of the fact we may look close to ourselves. Nobody says it will be easy or that it is, but you can - some of us can - make it so, too, probably.

The red sky was the first sign of a sort of different day - though one single day doesn't change things, as some A. Manzoni would say ;) -, and, despite everything, I don't think it all will turn better, at a sudden, like a miracle. But this can be a starting point, which is difficult to reach, too.

Comment on this post and I'll give you a band. Don't worry, I'll try to make it one you know and love. You put your ten favorite songs by that band on your lj and in reply to the comment, challenge others to do the same.

I've taken this from rdyfrde and she tagged me with Michael Kiske! ^______________^

1. Out Of Homes
2. All-Solutions
3. Philistine City
4. Do I Remember A Life?
5. Shadowfights
6. Watch Your Blue
7. Always
8. Hearts Are Free
9. Ban 'Em
10. Thanx A Lot

A little of difficulty for the first three positions, but I was quite indecided about "Watch Your Blue" and Always", and "Shadowfights" and "Do I Remember A Life?".

Note: In fact, I put a top-ten of my favourite songs, i.e. the ones I like and have liked the most meaning some I like because I'm "affectionate" to them. For example: "Out Of Home" isn't probably the most beautiful of Michael's songs - just like it's a little shame that "Always" is just 7, as it's very full of emotions -, but... well, it seems to be the one that means more to me.

Lots of love to everyone!
